How to Choose a VPS for Your Workload

Turn application workloads, audience location and maintenance requirements into a clear server specification.

3CTIME KNOWLEDGE BASE · 2026-10-27

Start with the workload

List the websites, databases, APIs and background tasks you need to run. Note expected concurrency, dataset size and storage growth. Existing workloads can use monitoring history; new projects can start with an adjustable configuration and a scheduled capacity review.

Assess each resource separately

CPU, memory, disk capacity and storage performance solve different problems. Databases and application processes consume memory, files and logs use disk space, and compute jobs may need more processing capacity. Select specifications around the actual constraint.

Specify delivery and maintenance

Include region, operating system, IP allocation, bandwidth, billing period and deployment assistance in your quote request. After delivery, verify specifications, access methods and renewal dates, then arrange backups for business data.
