Specify address allocation
State the number of public IPs you need and whether access is dedicated, shared or provided through port mapping. Static and dynamic describe whether an address may change; dedicated and shared describe allocation. Specify both independently.
Clarify access characteristics
Datacenter networks, ISP addresses and residential broadband environments involve different delivery conditions. Check connectivity, IP registration information, actual allocation and upload/download arrangements rather than relying only on a product name.
Validate application requirements
Remote administration, website hosting and authorized testing may have different IP requirements. Confirm connection protocols, permitted ports, address-change conditions and application compatibility before delivery, and keep the resource specification with your service records.
